Earn-a-Bike

Earn-a-Bike provides young people with hands-on instruction in bike repair and maintenance. Through the program, young people give back to the community by repairing used bikes for others, and at the same time accumulate volunteer hours that allow them to earn-a-bike. Adult mentors provide guidance, friendship, and a strong hand to loosen bolts.

Earn-a-Bike teaches approximately 120 students a year, and half those go on to complete 24 hours in Earn-a-Bike and ride off into the sunset on a new bike, with a new helmet and lock. Classes start quarterly throughout the year. Participation in the Earn-a-Bike program costs $80.00. Scholarships available for all classes.
